Cami is the founder and face of Backfield Media — a platform built on athlete-first storytelling. As a multimedia sports journalist and on-camera host, she interviews rising stars and standout athletes across football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and motorsports.
With a background in business marketing and a passion for giving athletes a voice, Cami leads both the creative direction and hands-on reporting for Backfield Media. She’s currently building "The Rookie Class," an internship program designed to mentor the next wave of sports media talent.
Whether on screen or behind the scenes, Cami brings a personal, human-first lens to every story — putting athletes’ journeys, experiences, and personalities at the center of the conversation.

We proudly transitioned Basal Marketing on July 17, 2023, our founder's birthday, with a clear mission to empower local small businesses. Our founder, deeply passionate about health and fitness, thrives on challenges across knowledge, wellness, and entrepreneurship. Growing up immersed in basketball and soccer, she playing football but was advised against it for safety reasons and limited opportunities. As a proud former member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity, she is determined to raise awareness about educational inequalities in sports for children and is poised to become an On-camera NFL Broadcasting Host, ready to her career and connect with the athletes she interviewed during her college years.
