Flying High: Virginia Seahawks 7U & 8U Shine with Big Plays

7U Seahawks: Dominic Leading the Charge

The Virginia Seahawks 7U squad showed heart, hustle, and a true love for the game. At the center of their momentum was Dominic Trevaughn Doggett Jr., who delivered an all-around performance that energized both teammates and fans.

Dominic put together a highlight reel day with 140 total yards, 3 touchdowns, and 4 tackles. His versatility on both sides of the ball made him a constant threat — breaking free for big plays on offense while staying locked in defensively. Dominic’s performance is a strong reminder that the Seahawks’ youngest athletes are already building the foundation for the program’s future.

8U Seahawks: Depth and Development

The 8U Seahawks followed up with a commanding showing that highlighted their depth across positions and the energy of several standout players.

  • Trevor “TJ” Smith — Known as “The Jett,” TJ powered through defenders with 1 touchdown, 8 tackles, and a forced fumble in one game, plus another dominant outing against the RR Boyz with 6 tackles, 2 tackles-for-loss, and another score. His physicality and playmaking ability set the tone.

  • Darius Debo Bethea — A newcomer making noise right away, Darius shined with 40 passing yards and 30 rushing yards in his first game. By Game 2, he exploded for 90 passing yards and 60 rushing yards, tossing a 20-yard touchdown and adding a rushing score, plus 5 tackles.

  • Aaron Flowers — Another new face, Aaron brought steady two-way play, picking up a pair of 7-yard carries, delivering multiple tackles, and contributing to a forced fumble.

  • Antonio Miquel Lynch Jr. — Antonio showed his versatility with 2 carries for 65 yards and a rushing touchdown, plus a 15-yard reception for a catch-and-run touchdown that fired up the sidelines.

The 8U group’s ability to spread the ball around and lean on multiple playmakers highlights just how much talent is being developed. Their mix of returning leaders and new contributors is shaping a balanced team ready to compete week after week.

Closing Thoughts

From Dominic’s breakout performance with 7U to the depth and execution shown by the 8U Seahawks, Virginia’s youth football program is building something special. These players are laying down a culture of discipline, energy, and teamwork that will carry them far beyond the early years.
