Marcus Brandon, the physical freshman who earned his place on Flowers' varsity football team, is now aiming for that RB1 spot. As he prepares for the season's biggest rivalry—Flowers vs. Wise HS—his quiet confidence and wits are evident. Flowers, ranked #19 in Maryland and #3 in Division 4A, has built a reputation for physical football—and Brandon fits that mold.
On film, he is a physical running back, and it takes quite a few defensive backs to take him down. Drawing inspiration from Saquon Barkley, he's working to sharpen his strength and claim that RB1 role. Now the big question: Will the Wise Pumas be able to contain him?
With his eyes on becoming a 5-star recruit and still undecided on where he would want to go—we will continue to follow his development from his freshman year forward. For now, his recruitment is wide open—but his physical style could fit anywhere from a Big 10 powerhouse to an ACC contender.
Although we briefly discussed ranking in our virtual interview, he stated that he pays them no mind. Just for the sake of viewer and fan curiosity, these are the current rankings on MaxPreps and will be showcased here:
